A Newcastle light baluster goblet, with extremely fine dutch engraving - probably indicating ' a lovers rejection'.

Armorial Drinking Glass

An 18th Century (1769) Armorial Drinking Glass by Jacob Sang.

The glass features a composite stem and is engraved with a rampant Bear, as part of the Arms for the Beer family of Flanders, as well as a duck for the Beck family of Heilbron (with the initials “QVACK” engraved below the duck).

The glass is signed & dated, although the signature has been defaced.

A 'Britannia' opaque twist wine glass, created for the treaty of Paris.

Raised on a conical foot and a DSOT stem, the glass is engraved with an image of Britannia, which features with polished detail.

A large balustroid ribbed bowl wine goblet, with a central swelling knop on a plain conical foot (see Bickerton plate 222 for this glass).

A late 17th Century ale glass. Featuring a gadrooned flared round funnel bowl over a teared inverted baluster knop and basal knop with a folded conical foot.

Circa 1690-1700.

A Newcastle Light baluster with fine dutch engraving of clasped hands (for friendship or marriage) with polished detail.

The funnel bowl sits on a cushion knop, a beaded inverted baluster knop and basal knop on a conical foot.

Jacob Sang

An exceptionally rare Dutch engraved Newcastle Light Baluster 'Friendship Goblet' by Jacob Sang.

Only 6 of these 'Poem Goblets' are known to exist produced (by Sang himself) and this particular example is the only one to retain its original cover.

An Acorn knop candlestick with many rare features. Below the sconce, which has an applied collar, is a teared knop, below which is an airtwist knop over an acorn beaded knop and basal knop standing on a beehive type foot.

17th Century Baluster

A rare and early baluster - possibly a sweetmeat or champagne glass. Featuring an everted cup bowl over a hollow inverted baluster knop and basal knop on a domed and folded foot. The dark metal, being thinly blown, would suggest a late 17th Century date.
